Moisture! During Fall, Winter seasons, the skin becomes very prone to dryness and irritation because of the cold, dry weather conditions. 
This is when your skin needs heavy butters and Oils like Shea Butter, Mango Butters( for all skin types) and Cocoa butter for very dry skin types(the facial skin should be avoided) as it has a comedogenic rating of 4. Meaning it can clog your pores easily. and cause breakouts. Moisturizing body butter can be used on damp skin to create an occlusive effect thereby keeping the moisture in. 
And also drink lots of water and natural sources of good electrolytes likes unsweetened coconut water that deeply keep your skin and scalp hydrated.
 Natural hexane free oils too can be used. Almond, Avocado, Safflower , Rice bran and Jojoba Oils are good to use as they are high in linoleic acid and antioxidants.
